Frequently asked questions

In our co-therapy model, each school is assigned both a senior registered psychologist and a practicum student. The senior psychologist provides the wisdom and designs the plans whereas the practicum works directly with the students providing counselling, administering assessments, collecting data, and delivering treatment plans. This model enhances the quality of care provided to students.
-
Schools typically see observable improvements in student wellbeing within four weeks of sessions commencing. The positive outcomes from therapy tend to last for up to two years, with continued progress over time.
-
Schools enter into a service agreement with us. This means they do not directly employ psychologists, and the cost is designed to be affordable while ensuring maximum impact. Funding is structured to make the most of available resources.
-
We collect student feedback after every therapy session, which is used to assess the progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly. This data-driven approach ensures that therapy remains effective and tailored to each student’s needs.
-
Psychs in Schools employs registered psychologists with qualifications in either Educational and Developmental Psychology or Clinical Psychology.
