OUR WHY

At Psychs in Schools, we believe every child deserves access to high-quality mental health support. We exist to break down barriers, bringing expert psychological care directly into schools so students can thrive. Our vision is a future where mental health care is as embedded in education as reading and writing.

Through our innovative co-therapy model, we’re pioneering an approach that delivers results, develops future psychologists, and makes a real impact within communities.

HOW IT WORKS

Our industry-leading co-therapy model

By pairing each school with two psychologists (one professional and one practicum student) we ensure diverse expertise and high-quality support for students, while keeping costs low for schools.

    • Schools refer students needing mental health support, using our online referral form.

    • A Registered Psychologist is assigned to the school.

    • Psychologists provide direct therapy and lead treatment plans.

    • Practicum students support assessments and therapy, gaining real-world experience while enhancing care.

    • Students feedback on their sessions, ensuring therapy stays effective and adaptive.

    • Data from every session is reviewed by Senior Psychologists.

    • Treatment plans are refined in real-time to maximise student progress.

    • Schools receive insights on their students' wellbeing and program impact.

This collaborative model has been proven to be more effective than traditional therapy alone, which is why we deliver some of the best youth mental health outcomes in Australia.
